Angel Tree - Look for this in our Narthex in early December!  On the tree are names, ages, and a wish list for children who would otherwise not have a  Christmas.  Needed are toys, warm blankets, sheets and clothing.

Friendly Hands Food Bank - All Items Welcome - Please remember to add an item or two in your shopping basket.  The need is no less during the summer months.  The box is located at the parking lot entrance.

Susan B. Anthony Project - Various items needed for the shelter for battered women and their children.  Supplies for cleaning,  laundry, dishwashing, food storage, health and hygiene and canned foods.  Mark your bag specifically for Susan B. Anthony and leave in the donation box.

30-Hour Famine - The Sr. Youth Fellowship participates in the 30-Hour Famine, sponsored by World Vision.  In the past, because of a corporate sponsorship program, the funds raised were matched 4X so the total donation to World Vision was almost $3,600!!

The people of the First United Methodist Church are blessed with a wonderfully active Mission Committee, which provides support to goth global needs, and local needs right here in the Torrington area.  The Men's and Women's clubs, Sunday School, and the Youth Fellowship are all actively involved in local and global projects.  If you know of a need or program, please email or call us.
